Holy Trinity Church Hepworth
the parish church for Hepworth, Scholes & Jackson Bridge, near Holmfirth, West Yorkshire
We are a small but growing church. We enjoy each other's company and always like to see new faces among us. Being a small church we like to think that we do things in a friendly way with an appropriate balance of formality and informality. We believe God is worth worshipping and that just as we enjoy his and each other's company, so he enjoys ours.
As well as being on the web, our church is open to visitors during daylight hours every day of the week. Many people come to renew old memories of the church or of people who may be buried here. Or they may just welcome an opportunity to have a quiet time to themselves in peaceful meaningful surroundings. It is a convenient stop on the Kirklees Way and many of the other beautiful walks in the area.
Being a rural parish, as well as humans we try to incorporate other living things around us into our worship. On Palm Sunday our local donkeys lead the way through the village to the church.
